How Anis Told His Story

Written by Danielle Williams, with illustrations by Melanie Christopher and narration by Illiana Gutierrez 

Audience: Ages 5-9 

How Anis Told His Story describes the experiences of a young boy, Anis, who grew up in the West Bank amidst conflict and the solace he found through music. The written text and narrated video are meant for students ages 5 to 9 and could also be used with older children to connect Anis’ personal experiences to examination of broader themes of politics, religion, and war.
